Hawaii, Big Island trip, September, 2014

It is a short distance from the town of Volcano to the Volcano National Park entrance. We took in the exhibits at the visitor's center, and took a tour with Ranger Rick. We got back from that and had snacks in the Volcano House, which overlooks the Kilauea caldera.

There was a hula demonstration that we were lucky to see; it only occurs once a week (on 'ship day', when the cruise ship comes in).
