On to Portland to visit with 'Ti Claire (had lunch at the Deschutes Brew Pub - best pub we've been to in that town), go with her to Powell's Books, pick up a maple-bacon bar at Voodoo Donuts, and check out her digs. We also visited friends Cindy and Mike and had breakfast and dinner there a few days.
We didn't have to drive much to get around town; we used the MAX rapid transit system and our feet to see the sights. Powell's Books and VooDoo Donuts were destinations.
